A friend makes cloth bags for charity - she charges £10 for simple ones and £15 for one's where more work was involved.

I was happy to pay £10 for a simple carrier bag type cloth bag. I think you need to charge something similar to allow for time and materials.

Did I show you the bag that Oliveview made me?  Actually not sure I have a photo of my one, but I do have another she made somewhere!

Ah yes, here it is!

They are very cheap on e-bay, bear in mind that buying from charity stalls means people are inclined to pay more.

If the fabric is snazzy, or Laura Ashley/Catherine Kidston type or you add appliqué you could charge a bit more

ive been asked to do a birthday cake just a sponge type with decoration so was in the libaury for ideas and the lady there told me of a new shop which was like having Christmas and birthday all at once so im off to see , its all cake and stuff so quite excited its called coffee and cake so im dragging the daughter along to see if she can catch the baking bug , I bought her some digital scales for her birthday in hope .

I love the chicken bag its lovley good business idea as people wont like paying for every carrier bag .

You'd love Frankie and Johnny's Cookshop in York!
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

There used to be a lovely cookshop in Covent Garden when I worked in London.  Unfortunately its gone now, but I've spent loads of lunch hours and afternoon's off, wandering around in there.  It had a basement too, so 2 floors of wandering!

Of course, now with the healthier eating, I only bake when we get visitors, which isn't often!   :(

That is really lovely Hannah.  :) What patience you have. Taking the time to stitch on evenweave is so worthwhile.
