Oh wow, those cakes are wonderful, but the roses!  Amazing!  I tried making sp roses once,   mmmmm, stick to the day job I think!

Hi Grannie.
I was sat watching her and she makes it look so easy, I had a go and it's a case of never again, just can't do it.

This was the last cake she took into work, trouble is "I didn't get any, again"

She actually does for relaxation.
She needs alot of that at the moment cos she's a H&S advisor at work and has just sat her NEBOSH exam.
She's had 4-6 weeks of constant studying at home aswell as attending her course and doing her own job at work, she's totally worn out and said that she needs to escape into her "cake world".

Don't mind as long as I get a taste of finished product. mind you i get to "lick out" the bowl after she's finished mixing. (Just like being a kid again)

They do say that men never grow-up.  Too true.

Babs has always been very artistic, she also like drawing & painting too, but cakes are her favourite.

I can make the "boring" things like victoria sponge, lemon meringue, fruit crumbles, etc.

My thing at the minute is making different flavour soups and freezing them for later in the year.

Favourite so far is Apple & Parsnip soup, made using Bramley cooking apples.

Ooooh that roses cake looks like a big fluffy cushion!  Babs is really talented.  My hands are not steady enough for such recision work.

I too can make the basic cakes, but its the decorating that spoils it! lol
