I love my wicker basket, always feel really important when I carry it    Mine was a bought one though.  I've got one of those budgie cage plastic 'shower caps' sorry can't think of a better description to use as a cover, fits a treat.

lovely basket MC, I have a genuine 40's woven basket that I must dig out and make a cover for - it's tucked away in our spare room somewhere along with my sewing machine  .
I have just started loom knitting (like the old fashioned french knitting on a bobbin only bigger) and so far have made to cushion covers and a scarf and now half way through a poncho. I also plan to make some socks on one of the looms.

That's a lovely piece of furniture,what wood is it? Hubby & son have just made son a dining table in walnut, 8 chairs are being started on Saturday.
