Crumbs cadalot - your talents know no bounds. A brilliant pop bottle cloche and now this. Respect from GG!  ;)
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Well I think I am too blinking crafty for my own good.

I have just finished an embroidered cushion for the page boy to carry the wedding rings on, 130 wedding favour/cake bags, 100 mini jars of assorted red jams, and 120 place settings.

Late nights and dark eyes have been the order of the days.

Will post piccies after the wedding as I am a little superstitious.

Wow! I am so glad my wedding is small as I am the one doing all the craftiness! Hadn't thought about a cushion though.... Do you normally have one in an ordinary church wedding? (No page boy, just  best man). If so I had best get designing and sewing!

It was something I made and designed for my sister's wedding for my son to carry. He was pageboy and my sister wanted him to carry the ring. I had visions of him dropping the rings off the cushion so I attached it to a ribbon. My son remembered this so I got the job for his wedding. Don't think it is usual in many weddings, church or otherwise.

Oh I will - I have refused lots of things lol. It's just thinking about all the different bits! I'm the first one in my family to get married for quite a while as I am the oldest in this 'generation' so not like I've got many other weddings to compare it to/base it on if you know what I mean?

We are also importing a lot of 'tradition' from other places too.

I mean where did the idea of wedding favours come from? it is party bags for grown ups. ::)

Just remember RJR it is your wedding; you stick to the wedding you want and ignore tradition, Make your own tradition.

I have no choice as it is my son's wedding not mine and I will just do my best to make sure it is the one they both want.

Quite agree about the wedding favours - I'm not bothering. We are using the money to buy people drinks instead :)
Anyway, I will stop diverting this thread now and post some of my crafty wedding decorations when I've finished them :)

Look forward to that, your day is going to be so special.

One of the ex-pats in the village came round yesterday and ordered a baker's dozen birthday cards for friends and family after I made a personalised one for his brother...wow. what a confidence boost!

This a picture of my WI's entry into a competition at the AGM. It was called A wAlk in the Woods & was judged on 3 crafts, unfortunately we didn't win. I helped with the planning & setting up the entry last Saturday. Oh & made some tiny quilted leaves that you probably can't see on the picture.
