I've been icing cakes since I made my wedding cake in 1969  :ohmy: Then it was all royal icing and piping stars and flowers everywhere, then we moved on to making flowers, that actually looked like flowers  :nowink:
Now making models with fondant icing seems all the rage. The first one I tried was a penguin for Winterval, then a hat, now the cat - but it is very easy, compared to piping; it's like making things out of Plasticine. It looks impressive though  :D

I never was any good with plasticine either!  :lol:

I can make the cakes, but my hands are no longer steady enough to decorate nicely!  :(
