I have 1 hen who is obsessed with the dog beds! One bed is a normal plastic bed and the other is an igloo type bed, she will come in and sit in the igloo bed for ages. I shoo her out walk back indoors and she is right there behind me.
I have the feeling she would rather be indoors than outdoors sometimes

No. She definitely thinks she's a dog. I've got a chickendog too who escapes out of the run every morning whenever she sees my OH in the kitchen and whines at the back door until she's given a treat. She follows us round and when we got in the car the other day and she was certainly going to jump in with us.

they certainly are funny, the others wander in and go straight back out but not this one (really must give her a name, she has a blue ring on her leg as we have 3 identical hens!) as I type she is mooching in the igloo again.

It looks like a nice nesting site for her.
Put some bedding in and see what happens, you might not need your incubator after all.

Mine loves the dogs bed. She does an hour or so in there every morning and before she stopped laying she'd 'deliver' the eggs!
