just found 1 under my broccoli net wellburried and no holes?

august is hatching from chrysalis time I think (2nd brood) - is it possible that there as chrysalis on your netting? I found one on my winter brassica tunnel the other day, though it didn't hatch - three neat little holes appeared, probably a parasite hatching out of it

what sort of netting? unless the holes are less than 7mm the butterflies can fold their wings and crawl inside. They seem to be too stupid to do the same thing to get out

its voile and very fine nets I think savbo is right. Did cross my mind but not sure they were uncovered for a wile really early before I made my nets.
