Remind me, what sort of foodstuff is this unspellable thing?!
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

So it says on my packet.  You gather them just before you see the petals.  Really wish I hadn't left it too late to plant mine this year::)

Its other name is Aztec Broccoli so you eat the flower spears like PSB  :)  Did not make it to the plot today so will get up there tomorrow to see if there is anything to harvest.

Mine is a bit stunted because of the tough growing conditions earlier on, but it is supposed to make a 4 foot high bush covered in edible flower spears. Full report of eating qualities follows  ;)

Good point Rachel  :)

I was quite impressed with my weeds.  Stir fried with chicken it was very nice.  Keeps a texture as promised and gives that nice green veg taste to a stir fry like the oriental greens and a lot less faff to grow as seems not to interest slugs or other pests  :)

Going to steam next lot and eat as side veg  :)
