Gloss paint inside the coop??

Hello again, im spraying the coop with poultry sheild at the moment, when im done should i block the corners and all the gaps with wood filler and paint it using gloss paint? Would it affect the chooks in amy way?

if any of it starts to flake off the hens may be tempted to eat away at it  :(

Agree Joyful. Also will be very labour intensive to maintain. :)

The inside of my small coop (600w x 900h x 1200l) is given a coat of bargain basement emulsion once a year just to lighten the inside and fill gaps.
 At £2 for 5 litres the colours can be a bit unusual, last year violet this year raw hessian but i have had no complaints from the tenants.

If its for mite control then maybe this might help. I have just hand built a coop and decided to varnish the entire inside then cut out sections of correx/cordex board and stapled it to the inside then sealant in the edges so mites cant get underneath. Also I just thought the other day it helps with keeping the heat in over winter and the noise down if you have a noisey cockerel. Unfortunately I dont know how much the correx board/sheets cost as I got given a load for free. Its basically plastic cardboard.
