Been putting chicken poo in compost bin. Today I noticed hundreds of small grey grubs/lavae (about 5mil long) all over the inside of the bin. Are they anything to do with the chook poo?

fruit fly larvae. Cover the contents with newspaper. Won't cause harm.

wouldn't want to give anything to the chooks which has been in the compost bin due to moould or spores as it might be a bit damp in there.
Mine do love chickweed, so another weed for them.
