mine also do it - spread their wings in a sunny spot -

A bit reminiscent of Freddie Mercury parading up and down stage. :D

Two of ours always sunbathe together. It's so sweet how they lean against each other. Sometimes one looks as if she has her wing over the other in an embrace. ::)

Ours were all sunbathing and sleeping yesterday afternoon in their dustbowl. Imagine sun and dust in the same sentence!!

Ben, their minder, was asleep with them ..... hopefully he would have snapped awake if foxy had arrived.

Ours all love a sunbathe - had to laugh at them yesterday - the five welsummers were sitting in a row head to tail lapping up the suns rays. Was not long before they were running for shelter when it started to rain.

Nothing cuter than a sunbathing hen and nothing funnier than a running one!

Ours were doing it when the RSPCA lady came round to inspect us prior to rehoming a cat - she thought we had a garden full of dead chickens.

My maths shows that bird is equal to or greater than the word...

Mine do it too they love doing it in long grass or on the patio.
I think its so funny when they have a little outstretched leg and a spread wing! It's like theyr trying to be all elegant

I would have 4 I could enter for the 20m dash, they got some good practice today running from the rain. The 5th chicken I have no idea what she would be good at as she just stood there looking at the sky. Reminded me of the book 'chicken licken' lol
