  • A yard a day.
Well the slugs on the plot want me to send an invite out to all who are free on Thursday night for a courgette bash round my place.

There are a few plants left that haven't been eaten but if they go quick, we're expecting a good crowd, then there are  beans and a young comfrey plant still to go.

Party games include:

Pass the pellet. Two inch sprinting. Slime bobbing.

The beer traps are available for swimming and larking about but no dive bombs.

RSVP.

You can have mine too  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

My snails aren't at all happy with this invitation (at least they bring their own overnight accomodation!)  ;)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

Is there a slug and snail twitter or Facebook we can use to invite them to the event?

2 days ago I organised a party in a plastic bag put next to my squash on the compost.  I gave them some lettuce and blue pellets to nibble on and a brick inside to keep the bag open.  They must have enjoyed it cos there were about 40 of them inside and for some reason they don't want to leave  ;)  ;)

I've laid on new games - hunt the seedling & first to the tops of the potatoes...

Slugs seem to be appreciating it.  :D

Sorry-mine don't want to come.

It's too much of an effort and they're having way too much fun on my plot.  :nowink:

I have a suspicion that they are on fitness machines to tone up their muscles ready to party! While I was trying to get to sleep last night, I'm sure I heard them whispering about the "UK'S World's Strongest Slug and Snail Olympics" involving tossing copper rings, lifting slug pellets of various types and weights, "How many leaves can you eat in one minute" competition, slugs lifting snails over barriers onto different heights of plants and - the worst - moving weighted-down netting by pulling them with their teeth!    ???
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
