Maxicrop - Dilution and frequency?
« on: July 08, 2012, 22:16 »
Hi there, I buy this suff from the allotment society and it comes in a wine bottle (1/2litre) so it doesnt have the ratio to water on it or other information.  I ask people about it and get different advice on what to use it on/how often to use it etc.... Is there any rule of thumb with it? Or info out there?

Many Thanks

Have you asked the allotment society? They should have a label with the analysis. Presumably they buy in bulk and decant it. If they sell it without proper labeling or information they may be breaking the law

But does it say how many square metres a watering can should cover? Often the instructions are very vague on these products to the point of being misleading.

Yes I have asked the society and got variety or replies, hence this thread.  I bought one lot for the allotment and asked, then got some more for home and asked someone different.  Some say once a week on everything to once a fortnight but just on immature plants.

Salmo I agree very vague, I dont like buying stuff like this without knowing all the spec, but it appears a popular product so I wanted to give it a go.  The bottle just comes with a poison label on it.

I have some Maxicrop and it gives different dilutions for different situations, i.e. young plants, foliar feeding, mature plants, etc. Google Maxicrop and have a look.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
