the more berries - the worst the weather - especially as main foods like nuts were not so good this year - berries are a plenty - normally means chitty winter

and have you not noticed that alot of birds from your garden aren't around - they know too - gone and bggrd off to somewhere more pleasant for the winter - i think i might call my mate in spain  :lol:  8)

berries are a sign of glut ,good growing season . the animals are better indicators ,. even a half million years early man went and hid in caves and saved food  :wink: we just save it in supermarkets n have central heating :lol:

because the animals and birds eat and lay loads fat down wher as in mild winters they dont ,, my rabbits( killed ones ) are full of thick rich creamy fat ,last year they wasnt so .... watch the crows on grass land  they wil; even ignore a fox coming through them to get as much food down them :wink:

Well, she has no explanation there and my garden is full of birds, and I had better year of berries than this one, except I don't think I've ever been picking strawberries this time of year, but never had this variety before.
