hi i brought some pea seedlings from the allotment shop today i assume i can plant them tomorow they are about 2inchs tall what do you good people think?

Absolutly plant them but protect them from birds and mice.  I use chicen wire and mouse traps  :D

yes - as aunty says - plant them now - and make sure the ground is kept nice and damp - but watch your watering at this time of year - try watering them early in the day  :wink:

peas plants are very tasty to lots of critters - so again as said - protect them well - i use glass cloches for my winter crops

cheers i was looking in a book and it said they should be planted in the spring and i was worried do they grow like runners would up a wig-wam of canes?

most peas go in in the spring - but there are some round peas that can go in now - for the extra 3/4 months they are in the ground - you will probably get peas setting about 3/4 weeks earlier than your spring sown ones - depending on weather etc

peas can grow quite tall - i use the tops off chestnut trees for support - and i have them about 5ft tall and twiggy - and the peas climb up those really easily

i would make sure you put a cover over them as i can kinda guarantee ,,winter is gonna be a bitch :wink:

loads of them ,,,,, just look at the leaves falling so fast , i saw carrion and hoodies in massive flocks fattening up on maize and sugar beet tops ,,,,, .foxes  barking this early is strange in my neck of the woods ,, n aggys feet are cold  :wink:
