feather pecking/bullying
« on: July 02, 2012, 08:41 »
can anyone tell me, if the feathers are plucked and presumably eaten by the dominant birds, does this suggest a lack of something in their diet, or is it just for "fun"
just an idea, hens otherwise healthy and have always laid well in the 18 months we got them and started out ?

could be boredom or bullying. There is a spray antipecking spray which may help. I am the boss with mine and pick them up. Could they be moulting?
