:D You tell them silly boys, Aggy. But spurge is the same auphorbia, isn't it? Rubbish spelling, mind.

Yep spurge is euphorbia, common spurge has been found to have anti cancer properties, also the sap can be put onto warts to get rid off them ( would'nt want to try it myself prefer the bit of meat method).

OK, so it's basically something I don't know how to spell, have never heard of and is likely to be either a flower or a weed  is definetly not edible so I might as well just dig 'em up?   Thanks, thats just what i'll do then!!

But before you toss it, check the root. If it's a lily bulb, it's well worth replanting in your flower gardens for next year. Otherwise, compost it.

My borders do look a bit bare so I'll check the roots/bulb first.

And you put your gloves on, some people are very sensitive to the sap. 8)

Hiya..   Its a young plant of caper spurge, Euphorbia lathyrus. The sap is like latex and it's toxic and irritant to people with sensitive skin. If you have kids around I'd get rid of it (wear gloves just to be on the safe side) otherwise let it grow on, it makes a weird but interesting plant but pull it up before it seeds itself too much.

I wear gloves to remove all weeds as I do have sensitive skin, legacy of eczema as a child.

I can confirm that the frisbee is indeed NOT a frisbee, or indeed a frizbee, but a lid, probably to some ancient tub of something or other that I will no doubt find at some point in the shed some where, sadly separated from its tub by living in the greenhouse on its own.  However, I think it may have some frisbee, or even frizbee, type qualities in that it is round and reasonably flat, but as my bichon is a useless retriever I may well not bother to find out if it does indeed think it is a frisbee by throwing it for the dog to retrieve, as the dog is not likely to see it fly past its nose at the moment as he is in serious need of a trim.
