[Stratts]

Hi guys,
We dug our 1st new spuds the other day (Rocket) and got this return from one seed potato.  The bigger ones are tennis ball size.

Is it good, bad or average as we've never grown our own before?

I'll let you know how they taste later.

I dug mine up aswell and they are about the same size. Its my first time as well so i would like to know too. By the way they tasted lovley with a bit of butter not as much as normal i noticefd thanks mick

They look good to me    Mine are still small but I have had a couple of meals from them. I'm trying to leave them a little longer so they grow bigger but they are so tempting  :happy:

You look to have between 1 and 2 pounds of mainly good-sized spuds there Stratts which I would say is pretty good for early spuds, especially this year which has not been ideal for many.

Hope you enjoy them (tip: if using mint, add it towards the end of cooking for maximum flavour.)

Wow I hope my 1st attempt turns out as good as yours!  Those look far bigger than I expect from my early swift batch.  I'll upload a photo for comparison once they look ready to harvest

ive been digging up pentland javelin for 3 weeks now,,,there avariging 16 per root,,,mixed sizes,, dug a rocket up today    4 small pots  lol    you did good

Looks a good return I have a few rows of rocket not yet tried them but pos this weekend if it can stay dry for a while.

They were proper tasty and it's got my kids eating all fresh veg without complaining too, bonus!!
