hi ya i am lucky that i can get hold of a lot of manure fresh and well rotted cow and horse, my ? is i have some beds which are empty can i over do it on the amount i put on the beds, these bed have just beeen dug,as i only took the plot on last september, i was thinking of putting a layer of news paper down then about 4inches of manure on top then leave it till next spring, not unless there is somthing i could plant in them in the meanwhile...............pete

put as much as you like on,pref rotter..get it ready forwinter caggabe ect

so at tleast you'll get some crops this year.

Keep the muck you get in piles and spread it in winter, after the crops are finished.  You can add more fresh manure then as well.
