ever , i dad 4 crowns to put down onw had maggots do i dumped it one i planted in the wrong place and i moved it another never showed i thought to du to too much rain and the last suffered a setback because hubby decapitated with the lawnmower ,but through it sll i hsve some stems allbeit short about 6/ 8 ins long , its going to be a small pie , can i eat them now ?

If they are newly planted crowns this year, and haven't been very strong, I wouldn't want to remove all the current stems.  You're not really supposed to harvest from the plant in its first year.

You could by all means try, but it might impact on the plant's productivity next year.

i just read my own post and i didnt even understand it lol sorry.
thanks for that theres not enough at the moment , but im just glad to see them grow , allways wanted rhubarb , it looks happy enough i think one is champange and another was red somthing , got then set down some where .
