I think my Gal's may have Scaly leg mite.
Can anyone recommend the best treatment please?
There seems to be so many products that for a newbie it's bewildering!

A topical treatment with a systemic like fipronil (Frontline) (need waiver from vet) will kill the mites (and any other lurking nasties).

The scales will remain raised until the next moult.

If the scales are really encrusted (this is the mites faeces), you can scrub the legs with a soft toothbrush.  Do not be tempted to pick off any raised or loose scales - this will leave an open wound and could lead to an infection.

I haven't had to treat mine but use vaseline on their legs every week or two as a prevention.  I understand you can use it as a treatment as well, the mites can't breathe and die.
