"Tomato Fawulty"?
« on: June 11, 2012, 20:21 »
I picked up a tomato plant at a plant sale this weekend, labelled "Tomato Fawulty", thinking that it was a variety that I've never heard of. A web search hasn't got me anywhere in working out what this might be. Can anyone help?

Was it a gardeners' fair type sale? Was the label clearly written? Could be the grower's name?

I shouldn't worry. If it was  "Basil Fawulty" that would be more of a concern. ;)

The label's nice and clear, in block capitals. It was a stall at a cathedral fundraiser, not a specialist plant sale. I realise asking is a long-shot, but I love to know exactly what I'm growing.

Brilliant! "Faworyt" is similar enough to be a working hypothesis. Now I just need to wait to see whether the fruit match the theory.

Thanks!
