Good isn't it? :D It doesn't get any less exciting either.

I have started lifting 'Rocket' as well. !.5Kg from two seed. They have bulked up nicely.
The taste though is another matter. There isn't any.
'Lady Christl' is to follow with a few 'Foremost'. Things can only get better.

I also lifted 'Rocket' yesterday and had some for tea, not bad, not the greatest new potato taste. Could I ask what other people recommend for a good tasting first early?

'Sharpes Express' Lace.

Best we've had for ages! Not a heavy cropper, but divine texture and flavour!

I messed up big time this year.

Last year my son`s boss, a commercial grower, gave me some Lady Christl seed that he had left over.

This year I had the chance to buy some seed, but didn`t as I was sure I would be given some, and you`ve guessed it, when the farmer finished planting, he`d used all his seed. Doh!
I`m left handed, what`s your excuse?

I will make a note of 'Sharps Express' for next year. I have tried 'Lady Christl', good flavour but a little on the moist side.

Each to their own, but we tried Sharpe's Express and didn't like them at all.
