As there are a few people making ice cream right now I thought I'd just say that...


Asda have a a jar of stem ginger for about £2.50, which is a very good price indeed

I managed to get a 5kg bag of crystalized ginger for £20.00 several friends have shared it with me  for future reference anyone local to Thrapston, just off a14 Northants is welcome.

works out £1.00 for 250g about 8oz

Oh dont tell me that I could sit there and eat my way through a bag that size in a couple of days and it certainly wouldnt be good for me.
I like the ginger licorice that Lakeland do, Usually a bag can be made to last a whole day.

waah - went to asda and they had sold out - so went to Sainsburys and bought 2 jars at £2.29 each (300g jars). Ginger cookies for me.

i have a microwave ginger cake recipie and i put some crystalised in the bottom of of the dish so it comes out on the top when cooked , it realy makes a difference

I had a similar reply in Asda, but sainsburys had plenty at £2.29 a jar anyway.
