White wisteria turning blue
« on: June 05, 2012, 20:57 »
I have a large much admired white wisteria, which seems to attract attention simply because it is white; however, over the last couple of years has started to produce blue flowers instead of white.
Why is this happening, and can anything be done to prevent it?
I started out with nothing.....and I've still got most of it.

Are the white flowers on separate stems to the white?

If so, they might be growing from beneath the graft at the base of the plant, and they can be cut out.
