Turnips flowering
« on: June 05, 2012, 17:36 »
I am growing turnips for the first time. I have Snowball and Purple top Milan, the Snowball are doing fine and the first ones are nearly ready to pull but the Purple top Milan have all flowered. Will these still produce turnips or are they compost fodder.

The chances are the roots will be woody

Test one and see

If they have not yet swollen then they will not now

Thanks, thought that might be the case. No sign of swelling so will pull them up.
