Are French beans the fastest growing plant?

I only planted mine out a week ago, and they were quite small. Every day I go and check them and I swear they're growing up the poles at the rate of about 6 inches a day, much faster than the runners. Even courgette and squash are nowhere near as fast.

I planted my runners at the same time as the French beans, and whilst they look healthy and have definitely filled out and grown a bit, they're not even thinking about climbing up a pole yet, but the FBs are a good couple of feet up.

depends on the weather I think. It's a bit chilly here at the moment, so the tall peas are growing faster at the moment than my beans.

But they will catch up. I'm quite sure. Once the weather turns around a bit.

The big squashes/pumpkins are much quicker IMO once they get going, it's still a bit early for them
