Peach tree - Resuscitation!?
« on: May 29, 2012, 09:19 »
 :(

I was given a peach tree last summer, it started to grow leaves in April but these then stopped growing a shrivelled up and died. Is my tree dead or asleep? What can I do to resuscitate it?

Thank you,

Rosser (Worried of Hampshire)

Scratch a tiny bit of bark off the main trunk to see if there's still some green. If there's none, then you've got a dead tree.

If there's still green there, then start giving your tree lots of water several times a week and some compost or rotted manure to get it back on its feet. Peach trees dry out very easily when young.
