Finally I can get these toms out of the conservatory and hardened off coz they were getting a tad big for the window sill!!  ::)

With the mild evenings forecast this week do you think I could leave them outside in a sheltered spot?  It would please the enemy no end  :D

The GD (tallest ones) all have at least 2 trusses and the tumblers and 100's & 1000's have loads of flowers on em.

Won't be long before little toms start showing I reckon  :D

Thinking about it you reckon I could transfer some to the plot tday as I have an area ready South ish facing next to my shed for 3 GD plants to grow up?  It's nicely sheltered out of the wind too!

I think hardening off is always a good idea.  Going from a completely sheltered indoors location, to an outdoors location with the wide variation in temps, without any acclimatisation, is unwise in my view.

It's been 23C here today and likely 10C at night.  That's a huge temperature variation.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Oh dodo I never saw your reply before I went down the plot and put 2 GD & 3 tumblers in the raised bed next to my shed.  I'll check em tmoro but hopefully they'll be ok.  I had them outside over the weekend during the day so not a total shock hopefully!

Also put 2 tumblers into a hanging basket and 4 GD into wellies at home but if they show signs of struggling I can put them in the garage overnight for a few days.  The rest are small enough to go back on the window sill if need be,

Thanks

I planted tons of stuff out at the weekend - pumpkins, sweetcorn and beans. They were filling the greenhouse to the point that I could not get in to water stuff properly.
