We have inherited some raspberries on our plot, do we have to do anything special with them, at the moment they are about 3/4 inches tall

If it were me I'd simply keep them weed free and wait and see for now.

If ever we get any dry warm weather be sure to give them a slosh of water once in a while. Lots of people mulch around them to help preserve the moisture in the soil and to keep the weeds down but it's best to keep any mulch from touching the emerging raspberry canes.

If you find they develop fruit you might consider some stakes and strings to help support them and keep them tidy. The birds may take an interest too so some people net / cover theirs.

Hope this helps a little.  ;)

If you leave them to fruit you will be able to tell if they're summer or autumn rasps so you'll know when to prune them in the winter ;)

I have raspberries and tayberries. The raspberries are over 2' high and are close to flowering. The tayberries are still very small. You may have the latter?
The advice is still the same. The roots are close to the surface, which is why you need to mulch or water frequently.

Thanks everyone, I noticed today that a couple of them don't look too happy, I checked the soil and it was slightly damp but we haven't had any rain for a few days so I will water them tomorrow, we are just going to weed around them and wait and see what happens :)
