tatties are duvetless tonight - a mild 6/7 forecast and the sky is clouding over now.  They've really recovered well after being hit quite badly a couple of weekends ago (my fault).  The toms still come inside at bedtime .... Maybe take the plunge by the end of the week and leave them in the greenhouse

We didn't have enough fleece for the spuds so just spread over a couple of plastic decorators dust sheets - which we put on in the middle of a hailstorm!  I don't really know if they worked as I don't know if there was really a frost - at 05:30 at home it looked as though there might have been one.

Same here Katejs. Nipped out to lottie put straw and polythene dust sheet over potatoes, only to get soaked in rain/hail storm. What a nightmare, but was worth it as was frost on car this morning.
I have my own cement mixer and not afraid to use it!!

Mine were earthed up and fleeced coming up for a fortnight ago.  Going to go to the plot this weekend and see how they are doing.

I have got tomatoes, cougettes, beans and sweetcorn in the cold greenhouse at home.  Made a fleece tent for the tall stuff and tucked the rest up on the bench.  The tall toms are also standing on upturned trays to keep a cushion of air between them and the paved floor.  All OK so far  :)

Potatoes will recover as the tuber is protected and will push up more shoots. Tomatoes won't, I'm afraid.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
