I am so sad, one of my last hatch has just died today, it was making a funny noise went back 5 mins later and it was dead.  It (don't know what sex it was still too young) was only 7 weeks old.

It was one of my little Gold Laced Orpingtons.  I cried like a baby it was so sad They were all doing so well too


1 hour later daughter called to say her dog Sam had to be put to sleep, its just too sad

Oh I'm so sorry Slowef, its really sad when you lose a chick, especially such a pretty one!!!!!!

Not much of a day, just had daughter on phone devestated she had to have her Staffie put to sleep today he was old but its still awful.  Oh dear she will miss him so much

its real strange this week i have had so many animals die around me in one way or another .we had our 17 yr old ginger cat go before i got home ,aggys little lady hen  died  as well ,now we have more on here .. i can only hope that the new year will bring us a lot more friends along ,, dam im getting to be a real softy nowadays

I'm so sorry about your losses, makes me wonder sometimes why I keep animals, it breaks my heart everytime one of them goes. :cry:  :cry:

I'm so sorry to hear about your losses, slowef.   It is cruel that animals don't have the longevity of humans.

I remember seeing the photo of your daughters dog on the forum and smiling - I'm sure you have many happy memories to look back on. He looks like he had a permanent grin and certainly had a happy life with you all

He looks so much like my wifes dog that died last year. Missed by everyone that knew her. Really sorry for you losses.

Smiffy, I know exactly what you mean, we are already worried about losing our cat Earl, and he is only 14 months old, but we wouldn't be without our pets would we??
