I have 3 gardners delight which I grew from seed rather that bought and they are still small and are no where near setting any trusses.

They are around the same heigt as yours and look healthy:)

Have had them in the garden today, our garden gets ridiculously warm and virtually no breeze! Bought them in about 5pm. 

I am so sad I have taken to marking the canes on the tallest and shortest to see how much they've grown.

Sorry another tomato question!

Yesterday (after Mr Raven told me not to) I decided to water the tomato plants in the blazing sunshine - I know it was a bad idea but its done now - the lower leaves that were splashed with water have changed colour and appear to be dying.

So, my question is, will this have done any long term damage to the plants or will they repair themselves?

If it's sun-scald, the plants will be OK, but the leaves will always bear the scars.

Next time listen to Mr. Raven!

Thank you DD and thank goodness for that - I can live with scars. 

These plants are his pride and joy and I'd probably find myself homeless if I had killed them!  They get more attention than I do!

The lower leaves will die off anyway, just tell him it's natural!

Yay!! well finally after a lot of waiting and worrying I have got my first 2 tomatoes! They are roughly a centimetre wide and obviously green as they only came out yesterday but they are there! 
 
I am really pleased with myself as they are the first thing I have ever grown  - not including the chili plant that the hens ate
