Guardian new allotment monthly blog
« on: May 11, 2012, 14:28 »
Haven't seen anyone else posting this, so thought I'd put it up for info.

Not as comprehensive information as you can get on here, of course, though!  :D

1. Starting out

2. Evil weeds

3. Soil improvers

4. Choosing what to grow

5. Crop rotation

6. Comfrey tea
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Not sure if this is in the right section, but obviously Yorkie reads the Guardian, and so do I.

Me, often a good paper for gardening (and, err, news).

If everyone read the guardian, the world would be a much better place.  And just so this comment doesnt get moved, alys fowler (?) does some great pieces in the weekend section. A good bit on courgettes 2 weeks ago.

I can also recommend the Guardian as a perfect size for paper pots, especially for sweetcorn.

Agree!  They're almost the only paper that provides real news stories, and yes, they do have great gardening and food sections.
