Variety with most peas per pod.

Anyone any thoughts on this?   Bit fed up with weasel words such as "Up to 10 peas per pod".  There can be two peas in each pod and it still is true of "up to". :mad:

Could be equally true "never less than one pea per pod"!

I've got a variety that consistently does give 9 - 10 peas per pod.

There'd be no point me telling you which - you can't buy them!  :tongue2:

DD this season after years of failure with Peas I followed your sowing regime covered them with weighed down Enviromesh and I now have 3 rows of Kelevden Wonder growing.

Could you please post the pictures of how you sting them onto canes. Also at what height is it safe to take the Enviromesh off, they are currently about 5 inches tall.

Hurst green shaft consistently produce 9/10 peas per pod and sometimes more.

Good cropper and available in every garden centre.

I was enticed to grow this variety last year to try and achieve the elusive thirteen peas in a pod.

I have some hurst green shaft in and some kelvedon wonder, good news on the hurst greens haft by the sounds.

Dd that picture is unreal, so what seed / variety are those?

I suppose I'd better spill the peas.

They're a heritage variety called "Stokesley". You'll only get them a few at a time from the Heritage Seed Library.

I've got 2 x 32" rows of them!
