had to post this! what a great tool!
the amount of plug plants i have pulled apart and ruined is frightening, probably paid for itself already, but it just makes potting on from cell grown seeds so easy with no chance of damage they just come straight out.
highly recomended....unless i am the last person to start using one lol

  my dentist had something like that on his tray the other day
"Your first job is to prepare the soil.  The best tool for this is your neighbor's motorized garden tiller.  If your neighbor does not own a garden tiller, suggest that he buy one."

love mine.  Think it must be around 15 years old now and has been lost a couple of times (and stirred a few paint pots  :nowink:).  Junior is now armed with one  :D.  Just a perfect little tool

the widger is a bit hard to explain shokky.  It's a dibber yet shaped like a trowel.  About 6/7 inches long, stainless steel, with a wide and narrow end.  Both ends are rounded (ie no sharp edges) - one narrow, one wide (haven't measured them, but maybe 1cm and 1.5cm or thereabouts). For pricking out and supporting roots from seed trays to potting on it's really useful particularly.  Lifting from plugs, as Rampant Weasal says, is very good.  I don't use a dibber for seedlings,  as I find this wee tool does all all that and more - just my opinion though  :D.  The most recent one we purchased was the gardman one for junior - nice  :D
