I have 4 pullets all aged about 6 months. My copper black always lays the biggest eggs of the 4, coming in between 60 and 65 grams, but today she has laid a whopper weighing in at 90g. If this continues is it likely to be a problem for her or should I be pleased? I'm not sure if it was a struggle for her to lay as there are quite a few feathers in the nesting box. They are definitely her feathers as she is our only black hen and they weren't there when I collected the other 3 eggs earlier in the day. We've had a couple of larger than usual double yolkers from our Coucou Marans before but they weren't this big. I'm new to this chicken keeping lark, so I'm not sure what is 'normal'.

This is normal and a few of mine have laid much bigger with no ill effect. I got one that lays every day and her eggs are huge! Up to 120gms!!!!!
