I have just planted seeds for my outside (ridge) cucumbers into the propagator.   I would like to grow one inside my conservatory and put the others outside on the allotment.    Is there any reason this 'outside' variety would not like to be inside?

None at all, that's what we do here as its rather on the cool side outdoors for cucumbers here.

Unless you have all-female ridge cucumbers they will need pollinating which you will have to do by hand indoors using an artist's paint brush or similar to transfer pollen from male to female flowers (unless you happen to have conservatory full of bees which I'm guessing is quite unlikely!)

I don't think I've seen an all-female ridge cue but I'm sure someone will tell me if I'm wrong 

By the time they're flowering I hope we'll be able to have the doors and windows open
