Hi alli have a broody with her five chicks but this morning she laid an egg is that normal  :wacko:

My broody laid an egg 5 weeks after her chick hatched, unfortunately this was very soon followed by her chasing her chick away and saying 'my job is done'. Chick was fine tho  :)
1 Hubby, 2 children, 2 Welsummers, 1 Leghorn Banty, 1 Wyandotte Banty, 1 Barnevelder, 2 Isa Brown, 1 Rhode Island, 1 Goldline,1 Maran, 2 Mottled Leghorns, 1 Leghorn cockerel & 2 Jack Russells

you may have to start feeding her separately so she can get some layers pellets inside her, but don't take the chicks away until she is ready to lead them back to the main coop  :)
