Did you prod it to see what sort of consistency it is?

I can see a speck of blood there but the main colour is a bit strange but not disimilar to 1 of the 'caecal' droppings in the poo picks thread.

yes looks like a lash to me. If you cut it open it will probably resemble a roll of wafer thin ham and have some fluid inside it.

it is part of the reproductive tract. In the majority of cases the hen won't lay again  :(
