I wasn't going to win with my 6 + footer almost in flower, but the winds got it and broke it two yesterday. I still have some pretty little ones to photograph though.

Heres mine, its not easy to measure but I make it at 10 feet 2 inches from the ground to the top of the flower.

Good for them if they do. I always make the seed heads available to the wild birds that I feed in the garden, but they seem to prefer the bought sunflower seed.

Never seen a sunflower like this - the packet was labelled 'French Marigold' - they were free!!  but isn't it gorgeous    Its not going to win the competition as its only about a foot high!
