insect identification?

A friend has these handsome fellows on her sage plant. I have no idea what it is. Any one else?

Yep.

I get them on the raspberries.

They are sap-suckers, but do little damage, so I leave them alone.

i usually get them later on in the season on my peas - i didn't notice any damage to the plants.

you want to keep them off your runner beans though they scar the beans when they feed

is there an eco friendly deterent for them as my peas are next to my beans?
