moulting
« on: October 23, 2007, 09:44 »
hi
one of the chooks has been moulting for three weeks, not a desperate amount, but i have fould a lot of her feathers about, when i have examined her she has a lot of feathers about a cm long coming through, i was told she was born this year and she has not layed while i have had her, does this mean she is was not born this year but last year, the other three have not lost any feathers, they are all different colours, so i know they are only comming from her, sorry if its a stupid qustion but i was told they are all this years stock ?

thanks munty

ime not concerned about the egg laying just interested in establishing if she is older than i was told, if she is this years stock should she be moulting or is it more probable that she was born last year, if you know what i mean
