If she hadn't had puppies I'd have thought she was a "dog"!  I get the same puppy dog eyes from my hubby.   ::)

Glad she is on the mend.   ;)

It's me who goes in the spare bed when his snoring is bad or my aches and pains keep me awake.  Thanks for the laugh, just what the doctor ordered.   ;)

Glad Bessie is on the mend & making the most of her invalid status.  Give her a (gentle) hug from me & Bonnie.

Have done that Agatha  :)

She went for a check at the vet's yesterday and walked in like an old friend. Greeted her nurse with a big kiss  :D and is no doubt looking forward to Thursday when she has the stitches removed.

Thanks for the update Thrift. Its so good to hear how relaxed she already seems going to the vet. It appears she can assess very quickly, even when nervous, which humans are safe and have her best interests at heart. :)

WOW Bessie never seems to be phased by anything.  Do you get the feeling she has been here in a previous life?

Bessie is back in residence with the vet  :(

She went on Thursday to have the stitches removed and unfortunately had filled with fluid again. This is in the operation site; some congealed blood and fat had to be removed the day after surgery and since then she has filled with serum. Apparently the body is trying to fill the space. We were able to drain it off but as she healed there was no outlet for it so she has had a drain reinserted.

The main thing is that she is happy, wagging her tail and eating ...... she is friends with all the nurses and the vet  :). Hopefully home on Monday.

Sorry to hear that Thrift. :(  Fingers crossed she is home very soon, but at least it sounds as though she seems reasonably happy with her new friends. :)

fingers crossed for her, it's a good job she likes her vets as it does make going a lot less stress free.

small, Welsh and almost certainly bonkers, but can be tamed with Talisker, if required
