Have tried all these methods and none of them really work for me except the wild life friendly pellets and cutting them in half with the secoteurs. ( think that spelling is incorrect but can't bothered to check) 8)

cutting them in half is satisfying tho' :D

 slugs are certainly a pain  i was advised by a professional gardener to try rhubarb spray so i tried spraying my brassicas with a rhubarb cocktail and it really did keep the slugs at bay for some time after my first spraying

they only came back  because i think i should have given the brassicas a second spray about three week intervals so ime going to venture the rhubarb spray on other veg plants this season
