Where's my hen?
« on: March 02, 2012, 16:29 »
Went to put the girls away the other day, only 2 come running. Shake the corn pot but Speckles still didn't turn up. Then I hear her; go to look behind the polytunnel and there she was in next door's paddock wondering how to get back ::)
Walked around to footpath and across paddock, hoping neighbours weren't in, picked her up and carried her home. She must have hopped up on woodpile, onto the fence and dropped down. Bless.

Mine too.  From standing on the ground (she doesn't even need a launch pad!) - and she's a LF Salmon Faverolle!  I swear those chickens will do anything for some corn on the cob.

I have the one hen who uses the chicken wire as a ladder, and literally climbs up and over, I have now given up trying to keep her in  :D
