How did I manage before?
« on: February 16, 2012, 17:21 »
Although I do a lot of cooking etc. I have never owned a food processor, relying on a good knife for chopping and my trusted stand mixer for whisking etc.

Last week I finally gave in as my hands are failing due to the MS  :( and treated myself to a Moulinex Moulinette and WOW what a gadget.

I can now chop walnuts and make breadcrumbs for the birds in a press of a button. Mince pork for burgers, chop onions and many more things effortlessly. I even made Mayo last night, a real treat as we don't buy shop Mayo because Jphn can't have sugar.

Really don't know why I haven't had one before  :D
The reward of a thing well done is to have done it....

I think I may be able to beat that Judd.   My parents had a Molinuex Jeannette Mk 3  meat grinder / salad maker / fruit juicer.  I remember it being used before I 'left home' to join the R.A.F. in the mid 60s.

As a winemaker, mincing sultanas would be a heck of a chore without this 'bit 'o' kit'

Have you watched the many and varied types of 'chopper' there are on the T.V. selling channels, where each is better than the rest!      Cheers,     Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !
