Fragile looking rhubarb crown

Hi, I bought a rhubarb crown last week. It was only small and it was only Ł2.99. The insructions say it can be planted out but it only looks like a baby and way too little to plant out in such cold weather so I have planted it in a plant pot and put it on a window sill. Will this help?

Rhubarb is very hardy. Warmth will weaken it.
