This lot are chitting away nicely now that the JBA delivery arrived last week.

Thought I would try a few different ones this year, though I'm sticking with the old stalwarts, King Edward, Desiree and Blue Danube.

Normally grow Red Duke of York; trying Home Guard and Arran Pilot  this year instead.

They did very poorly for myself and others last year   ; they are normally a favourite choice on the Thornton Park Allotments.  If I ad more space I'd grow eve more varieties. Loves me spuds I does! 

Actually, I rate the Blue Danube; although one of the "Hungarians" it has an excellent flavour and texture, especially if sauted, good blight resistance, it's a beautiful strong plant with excellent foilage ad purple flowers and keeps very well.
