We are all thinking of you and Phoebe.

It is nearly 7 months since our poorly old bagpuss took ill and she amazes me every day.  Just enjoy any extra time you get to spend with her.  Hopefully she will be upto mischief again soon.

We lost our Phoebes this morning, she was put to sleep. During the last 24 hours, she had st I arted vomiting her food back up again, despite being give antiemetics. There was obviously something very seriously wrong, and no guarantee that continuing with treatment would help her.
OH and I are truly gutted and have been moping round the house like a couple of lost souls. I havent done an ounce of housework, just cooking a little tea was an effort.

Well its now a fortnight since we lost our little girl, but I have to say that the house still seems empty and quiet despite having our other two moggies. Tabitha who is a year older than Phoebe was, has really stepped up to the plate and has started coming up and sitting beside me for cuddles and strokes, instead of being up on the bed. Even Fred has started staying in more having pick-ups and cuddles. Its as if they know that Im missing the lovings that I used to get from Phoebe so they want to do their bit to keep Mummy happy. Bless them both!

I only just spotted this thread Mary. I feel so sorry for you ..... it is the hardest time; each pet is irreplaceable and you need time to get over the loss. It's almost as though the other cats un derstand.

I have so often seen the sudden recovery and then the sharp decline. It's almost as if they come to say goodbye. Happy memories of Phoebe.
